Seller psychology – why you ARE good enough!

Just an observation that people new to POD and passive income tend to think they aren’t good enough. This video isn’t intended as motivational platitude – if you’re reading this then I’m talking to you: you are good enough! Well, maybe not you Steve, but everyone else.

Unless you’re totally lacking the ability to think critically and take on board the information I’ve already provided then I’m confident you’ll be able to make sales. Don’t make the mistake of dismissing your original ideas as not good enough just because they haven’t been validated yet. It could be exactly what the market wants.

Passive Income profits and taxes

People keep asking me to make a video about POD profits and taxes, so here it is. There is so much that I haven’t covered. Tax is a very intricate, complex, and boring subject. Your situation may not be the same as mine so do your research. Timecode for non-Brits: 6:37 – it goes British again from 14:00.

### Undeclared income – good info from HMRC:

### Self Assessment tool:

### HMRC Self Assessment enquiries:

### Register for Self Assessment:

### Halifax Clarity Card:

# Over £2500 profit – Register for Self Assessment – see link above
# Under £2500 profit – Report to HMRC manually – see link above

In terms of foreign income tax, you only list this on self assessment if you’ve already paid tax to a foreign country. HMRC will deduct the equivalent in GBP from your UK tax bill. If you use Redbubble and you’re from the UK, then you wont be paying tax to Australia/the US, so it’s not necessary to fill in that field. Your circumstances might be different to mine, so do your own research, of course.

Banned or suspended by Redbubble – what to do?

You’ve been banned or suspended even though you only just registered – or perhaps you’ve been on the site a while and you’ve been banned for copyright infringement or similar.

See video for an explanation of why this might be, and then email AND go here to log a request:

I should clarify that by ‘non-English speaking countries’, I specifically mean “non-Western” countries. RB does seem to allow people from Germany, Spain, etc. It tends to be places like India, Rajasthan, Algeria, Morocco that result in suspension (just a few recent examples from the FB group).
